Have You Heard of the Onion?

I love reading The Onion for pure entertainment purposes most of the time, but today I read something that truly shed light on a cruel practice that has been disguised for far too long as a tradition amongst families. I'm talking about the circus. It promises joy and delight to children and adults alike because the cute wild animals are doing human-like tricks. Circuses and animal trainers in general will NEVER tell you just how they get these wild animals to submit to their cruel expectations. Not only are they making them do unnatural tricks, but are also taking a physical toll on them.

So, next time the circus is in town skip the big top of horror and go to a well reputable zoo, nature preserve, or volunteer at your local animal shelter. Your kids will be a lot more grateful for it in the future.
